Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Lions are bringing LB Myke Tavarres for a workout on Friday.
Tavarres has previously worked out for the Giants but wasn’t signed to a contract following the session.
Tavarres, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Incarnate Word back in May. However, the Eagles ultimately cut him loose coming out of the preseason and he has yet to catch on with another team.
During his senior season, Tavarres recorded 110 tackles, 8.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and five pass defenses at Incarnate Word.
