Maurice Jones-Drew Unlikely To Play In Week 16 Despite Returning To Practice

Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey told reports on Thursday that although RB Maurice Jones-Drew was able to participate in running drills this afternoon, he will remain questionable for Week 16’s game against the Patriots, per Ryan O’Halloran.

O’Halloran even goes as far to say that he would be “stunned” if Jones-Drew played on Sunday.

Since playing in the first 6 games this year, Jones-Drew has been sideline by a foot injury, while Rashad Jennings missed practice again Thursday with a concussion and Jalen Parmele has already been placed on season-ending injured reserve.

With Jones-Drew unlikely to play, Montell Owens figures to get another start for the Jaguars.
