Michigan State CB Darqueze Dennard Visits With Bengals Monday & Tuesday

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, citing a source, reports that the Bengals met with Michigan State CB Darqueze Dennard on Monday and Tuesday.

Dennard is considered by many to be one of the top two cornerbacks in the draft, along with Oklahoma St CB Justin Gilbert.  Dennard is thought of as a “pure cover corner” with lock-down ability, albeit without the physical gifts Gilbert possesses.

Cincinnati is likely looking to get younger in their secondary.  Terence Newman and Adam Jones are 35 and 30, respectively.  Also, CB Leon Hall has battled a number of serious injuries.

We have the Bengals selecting Ohio State LB Ryan Shazier at No. 24 overall in our most recent 2014 NFL Mock Draft.
