More Teams Showing Interest In Peyton Manning

Chiefs

Bob Fescoe of 610 Kansas City reports that the Kansas City Chiefs have already spoken with Peyton Manning‘s agent Tom Condon “twice” during the offseason. Fescoe adds that the financials look good from the Chiefs perspective.

Manning has previously said that he’ll be willing to take an incentive based contract which would increase the chances of a team like the Chiefs making a run at signing him.

Chiefs President Scott Pioli has already said that they intend bring in additional talent at this position but this is really the first creditable report that has linked them to Manning.

 Jets

Jets head coach Rex Ryan wouldn’t rule out the possibility that they could look to upgrade the quarterback position and possibly sign Manning, per Albert Breer.

Ryan continued to show support for Mark Sanchez but appeared to be taking a practical approach to discussing position upgrades.
