Negotiations Between Ravens & C.J. Mosley Ongoing, Will Meet At Combine

Ravens GM Eric DeCosta told reporters at the Combine on Wednesday that negotiations with ILB C.J. Mosley are ongoing and he plans to meet with Mosley’s agents this week, per Jeff Zrebiec.

DeCosta didn’t completely dismiss the possibility of franchising Mosley but he made it clear that they would like to avoid doing so, per Zrebiec

It would cost the Ravens over $15 million fully guaranteed to franchise Mosley for the 2019 season.

Mosley, 26, is a former first-round pick of the Ravens back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $8,788,002 rookie contract before the Ravens picked up his fifth-year option last year.

Mosley made a base salary of $8,718,000 for the 2018 season and is now in line to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2018, Mosley appeared in 15 games for the Ravens and recorded 105 tackles, a half sack, an interception and five pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 22 receiver out of 93 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
