Eagles
- Eliot Shorr-Parks believes the Eagles should pursue a trade for Jaguars’ franchised DE Yannick Ngakoue after the defensive end posted a photo on social media of former Eagles Hall of Fame DE Reggie White.
- Shorr-Parks thinks Ngakoue would be a huge difference-maker for the Eagles’ defense and feels he is worth acquiring “almost no matter the price.”
- Ngakoue is seeking a long-term extension that would make him one of the highest-paid defensive end in the NFL at near a $20 million annual salary with around $60 million in guarantees.
- Shorr-Parks mentions that the Jaguars may demand a first-round pick in exchange for Ngakoue, which would cost the Eagles a chance at drafting a receiver at No. 21 overall.
- John Clark of NBC Sports reports that new Eagles S Will Parks turned down more money from Vikings and Lions to play for Philadelphia.
Giants
- Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports that the Giants have expressed interest in free agent DE Jadeveon Clowney.
- Dunleavy makes the case for the Giants rescinding the franchise tag on DL Leonard Williams and then using the cap space to sign Clowney, possibly to a one-year deal.
- Zack Rosenblatt of NJ.com takes a look at some ways the Giants could free up some cap space this offseason including signing franchise DL Leonard Williams to an extension, restructuring G Kevin Zeitler‘s contract, releasing OL Spencer Pulley, and possibly finding ways to move from LT Nate Solder and WR Golden Tate.
- The Giants signed OLB Kyler Fackrell to a one year, $4.6 million deal includes $3.5 million guaranteed and $1.5 million of his $2.6 million base salary is guaranteed. He also can earn a $2 million roster bonus and $1.5 million through playing time and sack incentives. (Aaron Wilson)
Redskins
- John Keim does not think the Redskins are done in free agency and it’s just a matter of getting something done at this point.
