NFC North Notes: Lions, Packers, Vikings

Lions

A report surfaced on Friday that Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa’s family has concerns about the Lions.

However, one of Tagovailoa‘a agents, Chris Cabott, tells Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press that everyone involved agrees that Detroit would be a welcome landing spot for him.

“It would be an honor for Tua to play for the Detroit Lions if given the opportunity,” Cabott said. “And we as a family, along with the Tagovailoa family, feel united in that belief.”

Lions HC Matt Patricia tells Pro Football Talk that he met with owner Martha Ford and they are on the same page.

“I meet with Mrs. Ford and her family and the organization all the time. We have open conversation every week,” Patricia said.

“Obviously our record is not good and your record is what it is,” Patricia added. “I do feel that the growth part of what we’re trying to do is there, and I think she recognizes that.”
