- Ian Rapoport suggests that the 49ers could be a team to watch for Rams free agent CB Trumaine Johnson this offseason.
Buccaneers
- Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times considers Ryan Fitzpatrick and Bears QB Mike Glennon to be the “best bets” for the Buccaneers this offseason in terms of a possible backup to Jameis Winston.
- Stroud expects the Buccaneers to monitor Glennon “closely” this offseason when/if he’s released by the Bears.
Cowboys
- Todd Archer reports that the Cowboys have finalized their coaching staff under Jason Garrett by hiring Markus Paul as a strength and conditioning coach.
Saints
- According to the Josh Katzenstein of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Saints Pro Bowl DE Cameron Jordan underwent minor surgery on his left foot and is expected to be recovered from the operation in 4-6 weeks.
- Katzenstein adds that Jordan’s surgery was elective and had more to do with pain tolerance than any significant injury.
