NFC Notes: Bears, Packers, Panthers

Bears

Bears WR Allen Robinson said he feels fully recovered from his knee injury and is now getting used to running routes.

It’s all about getting back acclimated, running certain routes, getting the small things in football, as far as actually football — route-running, sinking my hips, stuff like that,” Robinson said, via Gene Chamberlain of the Associated Press. “As far as physically, I feel fine.”

Packers

  • Mike Freeman of B/R says that everything he continues to hear regarding negotiations between the Packers and QB Aaron Rodgers is that a deal will be in place before the start of the regular season.
  • Freeman admits that there’s no guarantee this happens, but sources he trusts seem to think this is the most likely outcome.
  • Packers placed WR Michael Clark and G Cole Madison on the did not report list. (NFLTR)
  • Packers signed WR Adonis Jennings and WR Kyle Lewis.

Panthers

Panthers executive Steven Drummond issued a statement regarding DT Vernon Butler‘s recent accusation that he shoved a woman while at a Texas nightclub.

We just learned of the allegations involving defensive tackle Vernon Butler and we are in the process of gathering more information,” said Drummond, via Bill Voth.
