NFC Notes: Cardinals, Eagles, Lions


  • According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the Cardinals plan to shift to a running back by committee approach with new RB Kenyan Drake taking the bulk of the touches. 
  • Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio points out the dilemma Arizona will have if they want to re-sign Drake after this season, as Cardinals RB David Johnson is set to make $10.2 million guaranteed in 2020. 
  • Florio theorizes that Arizona could give up a pick to get another team to take on Johnson’s salary. 
  • Johnson played seven total snaps on Sunday and didn’t receive a single carry. 



  • Lions HC Matt Patricia announced after Sunday’s game that DE Trey Flowers and C Frank Ragnow are both in the concussion protocol.
