NFC Notes: Cowboys, Eagles, Panthers

Cowboys

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott said Wednesday that his knee is “great” after putting a full practice.

“My knee is good. It’s great,” Prescott said, via Pro Football Talk.

Cowboys OC Scott Linehan also said Prescott looked great and thinks he’ll be fine for this weekend’s game.

“I think he looks great,” Linehan said. “He’s always got something after a game, you know? Man, he looks great to me this week.”

“I think he’s going to be fine. I don’t think we’re concerned about it at all,” Linehan said.

Eagles

An NFC West scout tells Mike Freeman that “a lot of teams” will be interested in signing QB Nick Foles in free agency and even part with “substantial” draft picks to get him if the Eagles use their franchise tag to retain him.

“There are a lot of teams that will shoot their shot at Foles,” the scout said, “and [should Philly keep him] will be willing to part with substantial draft picks to do it.

Freeman lists the Dolphins, Jaguars, Broncos, Raiders, Giants and Redskins as teams believed to be looking for quarterbacks.

Panthers

  • Jourdan Rodrigue reports that Ron Rivera will call defensive plays for the Panthers in 2019.
  • A source tells Rodrigue that Rivera and GM Marty Hurney had a series of multi-day meeting with owner David Tepper with the meetings being characterized as positive and constructive.
