- According to the Athletic’s Greg Auman, Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston is not wearing any kind of brace or splint on his fractured thumb.

- Per D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Falcons fourth-round rookie CB Kendall Sheffield will slide back into the starting lineup with Desmond Trufant out for the season.
- In nickel packages, Sheffield will go inside and CB Blidi Wreh-Wilson will come on as an outside corner.
