Falcons

  • Newly signed Falcons RB Todd Gurley told Sirius XM NFL that as soon as he was cut by the Rams, he decided that he was going to try and go to the Falcons.
  • ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler says there’s still buzz about the Falcons moving up in the draft for help on defense. 
  • Pro Football Network’s Tony Pauline says Charlotte DE Alex Highsmith is drawing interest from the Falcons, among others, as a third or fourth-round pick.
  • Alabama CB Trevon Diggs has had a video meeting with the Falcons. (Aaron Wilson)
  • Appalachian State RB Darrynton Evans has video conferenced with the Falcons. (Justin Melo)

Panthers

  • Per the Athletic, Panthers GM Marty Hurney will be the one telephoning in the team’s pick to the league. The team didn’t give any indications on whether Hurney or HC Matt Rhule would hold more sway on who the pick would be. 

Saints
