NFC West Notes: 49ers, Cardinals, Rams

  •  The 49ers downgraded S Antone Exum (quadriceps) to questionable for Week 4’s game against the Chargers after not appearing on the injury report this week. (Eric Branch)
  • 49ers S Jaquiski Tartt (shoulder) is listed as doubtful.

  • Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk notes that the Cardinals have added incentive to deactivate QB Sam Bradford from their active roster, considering that his contract carries $5 million in total per-game roster bonuses.
  • According to Bob McManamon, Cardinals HC Steve Wilks “isn’t ready” to name the backup behind Josh Rosen and has not told Bradford or Mike Glennon who will be inactive on Sunday.

Rams HC Sean McVay said he is “very encouraged” that veteran CB Aqib Talib (ankle) will be able to return from injured reserve but did not proved a possible timetable for his recovery.

We’re very encouraged,” McVay said, via Lindsey Thiry. “And I know Aqib feels that way and we’re looking forward to getting him back. I don’t know exactly what that date would be but I know that the anticipation is to get him back.”
