NFC West Notes: 49ers, Cardinals, Rams, Seahawks


49ers HC Kyle Shanahan admitted that he was surprised a team claimed LB Reuben Foster off of waivers following his latest domestic violence arrest.

“I was a little surprised,” Shanahan said, via “I mean, not the team in particular, but that someone did. But someone did, and I saw it just like you guys did.”


Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson referenced Larry Fitzgerald as being the “cornerstone” of the franchise when asked about his future and mentioned that he wants to “follow in his shoes.”

“He’s been here forever, 15 years, being a cornerstone of this Arizona Cardinals organization,” Peterson said, via “I feel like I’m next in line. So we’ll see what happens.


Rams HC Sean McVay said that he anticipates CB Aqib Talib could officially return from injured reserve for Sunday’s game, but it remains to be seen how many snaps he can play.
