49ers HC Kyle Shanahan admitted that he was surprised a team claimed LB Reuben Foster off of waivers following his latest domestic violence arrest.

“I was a little surprised,” Shanahan said, via NBCSports.com. “I mean, not the team in particular, but that someone did. But someone did, and I saw it just like you guys did.”

Cardinals

Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson referenced Larry Fitzgerald as being the “cornerstone” of the franchise when asked about his future and mentioned that he wants to “follow in his shoes.”

“He’s been here forever, 15 years, being a cornerstone of this Arizona Cardinals organization,” Peterson said, via AzCardinals.com. “I feel like I’m next in line. So we’ll see what happens.

Rams

Rams HC Sean McVay said that he anticipates CB Aqib Talib could officially return from injured reserve for Sunday’s game, but it remains to be seen how many snaps he can play.

“[That] is something that we’re going to continue to evaluate based on the way that his ankle responds,” McVay said, via EPSN.com.

Seahawks

  • Seahawks HC Pete Carroll confirmed that LB K.J. Wright is getting an unspecified treatment on his knee and will not play in Week 13. (Brady Henderson)
  • Seahawks signed WR Keenan Reynolds to their practice squad. (NFLTR)
