NFL Postponing Broncos-Patriots Game Again

According to Adam Schefter, the NFL is rescheduling the game between the Patriots and Broncos from Monday to next Sunday.

The NFL announced the game would be postponed but did not offer specifics on their plan.

Schefter reports Denver’s Week 6 game against the Dolphins will be rescheduled to make room. New England was originally set to have a bye in Week 6.

The NFL has yet to confirm this change. However, Jeff Howe reports the Patriots have been told the game will be next Sunday.

Regardless, both teams will now have this week be their bye. Denver was previously scheduled to be off Week 8.

The Patriots had a positive COVID-19 test come back this morning that necessitated the change being made after the game had already been postponed from today to Monday originally.

The NFL had to postpone the Chiefs vs. Patriots game last week after QB Cam Newton‘s positive test late in the week.

We’ll have more regarding COVID-19 testing and possible schedule changes as the news is available.
