Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Carolina Panthers have made it official. Ron Rivera will take over as the franchises fourth head coach. The news may not be all that shocking considering that reports indicated that the teams front office was leaning towards Rivera as early as last Thursday.
Jason La Canfora tweeted that the Rivera plans to run an aggressive 4-3 defense that will make use of 3-4 sets as well.
As of now there isn’t an obvious offensive coordinator candidate lined up to overhaul the Panthers atrocious offense but reports have linked Dave Wannstedt as being a possible defensive coordinator candidate.
