49ers

• First-round pick DB Jimmie Ward looks to have a solid hold on the 49ers nickel corner job. (Matt Maiocco)

Chiefs

• The Chiefs could promote CB Sean Smith into the starting lineup over Ron Parker at some point in the near future. (Adam Teicher)
• Despite his solid performance on Thursday, TE Travis Kelce is unlikely to replace veteran TE Anthony Fasano in the starting lineup any time soon. (Adam Teicher)
• Malcolm Bronson could end up winning the Chiefs’ No. 3 safety job if he continues to play as well as he did the other night. (Adam Teicher)

Cowboys

• Cole Beasley is the favorite to secure the Cowboys’ No. 3 receiver job. (Todd Archer)

Packers

• Seventh-round pick WR Jeff Janis “absolutely has a chance” to make the team’s final 53-man roster, despite missing some time with shingles. (Rob Demovsky)
• Packers safeties coach Darren Perry said that both safety positions are up for grabs in training camp, including Morgan Burnett‘s job. (Rob Demovsky)

Titans
