Bears

• As of now, Buccaneers plan to place rookie RB Charles Sims on injured reserve with the designation to return. (Ian Rapoport)

Patriots

• A week after Mike Reiss left Stevan Ridley off the Patriots final 53-man roster, he now projects Ridley to make the team.
• WR Josh Boyce is not projected to make the 53-man roster. (Mike Reiss)
• OL Chris Barker, Jon Halapio and/or Braxston Cave are “strong practice squad candidates.” (Mike Reiss)
• Mike Reiss doesn’t have recently acquired DE Jerel Worthy making the team.

Raiders

• Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle puts the odds of rookie QB Derek Carr starting in Week 1 at “100 percent.” (Pro Football Talk)

• Aaron Wilson believes rookie QB Keith Wenning has “staked his claim for a roster spot” following his performance last night.
