NFL Notes: Bills, Jets, Patriots, & Raiders

Brian Costello of the New York Post writes that the Jets should consider pursuing Redskins QB Robert Griffin III, in the event that he’s released after the season.

Costello mentions that unless the asking price is as low as a seventh-round pick, he wouldn’t try to acquire RGIII via trade given that the Jets would have to take on his $3 million next season.

Beyond bringing in Griffin next year, Costello recommends that the Jets should draft another quarterback and have him compete with RGIII and Geno Smith for just two roster spots.

New York would also be wise to find a coach with experience developing quarterbacks such as Jim Harbaugh, according to Costello.
