NFL Notes: Broncos, Browns, Falcons, Jaguars

Broncos

There has been speculation that the Broncos could end up being a team to watch for QB Kirk Cousins during the offseason and he clearly has a fan in OLB Von Miller.

Kirk’s a great quarterback,” Miller said after Sunday’s game against Washington, via Pro Football Talk. “I’ll say that every day of the week. A lot of teams would kill to have a quarterback like that. He just came out and he was playing great. At first, he was a little shaky but back to typical Kirk Cousins in the second half.

Browns

On Saturday, a report surfaced that there’s growing concern that Browns HC Hue Jackson may have lost the team (NFLTR) following some recent comments.

However, Browns LB Christian Kirksey says he’s standing by his coach and believes his teammates are rallying behind Jackson.

“Yeah, as long as I’m playing for this team, I will stand behind Hue,” Kirksey said, via Cleveland.com. “That’s my head coach. Guys are still rallying behind him. We’ve just got to get through this phase.

Jaguars

  • Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the abdominal strain suffered by Jaguars LT Cam Robinson is not expected to keep him out of the team’s playoff game.
  • According to Rapoport, Robinson’s injury is more of a nuisance than anything else and he plans to play through it.

Falcons

  • Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Falcons TE Levine Toilolo suffered a sprained MCL against the Saints.
  • Rapoport adds that this injury puts Toilolo’s status for Sunday’s game against the Panthers in doubt.
