Broncos

• WR Wes Welker has been cleared to travel with the team, but has yet to receive medical clearance following a recent concussion. (Mike Klis)

Browns

• WRs Nate Burleson and Charles Johnson are on the roster bubble. (Nate Ulrich)
• The Browns are expected to monitor the waiver wire and even consider potential trades to upgrade their receiving corps. (Nate Ulrich)

Patriots

• According to Ian Rapoport, newly acquired TE Tim Wright will be the Patriots’ “new [Aaron] Hernandez.”
• Rapoport also mentioned that Wright will not have any impact on TE Rob Gronkowski‘s role this season.

Steelers

• The Steelers worked out former Eagles DE Alejandro Villanueva on Wednesday. (Field Yates)
