Browns

• ESPN’s Ed Werder has spoken to sources regarding the Browns quarterback situation who mentioned: “They should stay with [Brian] Hoyer if they want to go to the playoffs, but they probably wont.“

Cardinals

• Cardinals S Tyrann Mathieu has fractured and dislocated thumb that will require surgery. He’s expected to miss three games after a cast is placed on his hand. (Ed Werder)

Giants

• Josina Anderson reports that DE Robert Ayers‘ season-ending pectoral injury will not require surgery and is as bad as initially feared.

Jaguars

• Jaguars signed WR Mike Brown to their practice squad.

Redskins

• Redskins are working out CB Keith Lewis on Tuesday. (Aaron Wilson)
