NFL Notes: Bruce Irvin, Quarterbacks, 2019 Cap Space, Injured Reserve

Bruce Irvin

  • Jason La Canfora expects DE Bruce Irvin to end up with either the Patriots, Falcons or Seahawks if he passes through waivers unclaimed.
  • La Canfora adds that Irvin is likely to clear waivers, considering the amount of money he’s owed.
  • Brady Henderson says Irvin would be a “logical fit” for the Seahawks given their need for an extra pass-rusher and his ties to the team.

Quarterbacks

  • Dan Graziano reports that quarterback-needy teams were calling around in recent weeks about the Ryan Fitzpatrick, Josh McCown, Tyrod Taylor and Nick Foles.
  • However, Graziano says that none of them were moved because none of those teams wanted to give away a reliable backup option behind their starter.
