NFL Notes: Broncos, Dolphins, Vikings

Broncos

Broncos QB Trevor Siemian said that his shoulder is fine after undergoing offseason shoulder and is ready to go for training camp.

“I’m just really excited — I’m healthy,” Siemian said, via NFL.com. “… (My shoulder) was good to go through OTAs.”

Siemian added that he believes the Broncos will ultimately benefit from the competition between him and Paxton Lynch this summer.

I think the one word that comes to mind is competitive,” Siemian said. “We’re two young guys that want to play, want to succeed. We’ve done a good job learning from each other, pushing each other and, ultimately, I think the Broncos are going to be better as a football team (because of it).”

Dolphins

While Dolphins first-round DE Charles Harris created some buzz for himself during offseason workouts, he says there’s plenty of things for him to keep working on before the start of the season.

“I feel like none of us can get to that level of complacency where we’re like, ‘OK, we finally got this down. I’ve got something down,’ ” Harris said, via James Walker of ESPN. “I feel like even when it comes to my first step, I’ve noticed it’s not as efficient, as consistent, as some of the older guys, some of the vets — Cam Wake and stuff like that — but it’s something I have to work on every single day. It’s something you have to focus on each and every play.

Vikings

  • Although Vikings HC Mike Zimmer said he is determined to not have any more surgeries on his detached retina in his right eye, he admitted that he is still experiencing some issues. (Brian Murphy)
  • Zimmer is scheduled to meet with doctors in Cincinnati next week to determine whether pressure problems in his eye have subsided. In total, he has undergone eight operations on his eye.
