NFL Notes: Draft, Dolphins, Falcons, Giants, & Packers

  • Matt Miller reports that Notre Dame QB DeShone Kizer is still undecided about entering the 2017 NFL Draft, but he’s also torn on whether to stay in college and risk not being further developed by Brian Kelly.
  • According to Miller, Texas RB D’Onta Foreman is expected to declare for the 2017 draft if HC Charlie Strong ends up being fired.
Miller mentions that the report of the Browns “honing in” on UNC QB Mitch Trubisky is “very possible.”
  • In regards to LSU RB Leonard Fournette, Miller says that scouts aren’t concerned about his ankle injury, despite a report that he has a “chronic” ankle condition that could require surgery.
  • Miller believes Clemson QB Deshaun Watson could have a Teddy Bridgewater-like tumble down boards next year and suggests the 49ers as a good fit for him. Although, he says that if he were running the 49ers, he’d feel better about trading the Patriots their second-round pick for backup QB Jimmy Garoppolo.

  • Falcons HC Dan Quinn said CB Desmond Trufant (shoulder/pectoral) and P Matt Bosher (right hamstring) are game-time decisions for Week 12. Both players are currently listed as questionable with their injuries. (Vaughn McClure)

  • Giants HC Ben McAdoo said LG Justin Pugh had a minor setback with his knee injury and will be reevaluated next week. (Jordan Raanan)

  • Packers OLB Clay Matthews said he has “brushed up” on inside linebacker assignments in case he is asked to perform there on Sunday. However, he also said that most of his reps during practice this week have been at outside linebacker. (Rob Demovsky)
