NFL Notes: Julian Edelman, Kellen Winslow Jr, John Kuhn

Julian Edelman

Patriots WR Julian Edelman posted the following statement on his Instagram regarding his pending four-game suspension:

“I am very sorry,” Edelman wrote. “I don’t know what happened. I’ve taken many, many tests obviously over the course of my career, and nothing like this has ever happened. I apologize to the Kraft family, my coaches, teammates and fans. As this matter is being appealed, I can’t say anymore but no matter what, I will be ready to play and pursue another championship with our team and for Patriots fans around the world.

Kellen Winslow Jr

TMZ Sports reports that former NFL TE Kellen Winslow Jr was arrested for residential burglary Thursday after he broke into a home at a mobile home park near San Diego.

According to the report, police were called regarding an incident around 2:39 PM PT after someone reported a black male adult walked into a neighbor’s home. The person who called the police confronted Winslow Jr and cops later found him in a matching SUV a short distance away before arresting him on a felony burglary charge.

Winslow later posted bail of $50,000 and faces up to six years in prison if convicted.

John Kuhn

Free agent FB John Kuhn tells Sirius XM NFL Radio that he’s still hoping to catch on with a team for the 2018 season.

“I’ve been training my tail off here. I feel in tip top shape,” Kuhn said. “I’m ready to give it another run, and I’ve been fielding some calls, so I’m just waiting for the right one to give it this one more go.
