NFL Notes: Kirk Cousins, Colts, Jets, Vikings

Kirk Cousins

Redskins HC Jay Gruden said Monday he’s not worrying about QB Kirk Cousins‘ status with the team beyond the upcoming season right now.

“My approach, really: I’m not gonna be concerned about it,” Gruden said, via the Liz Clarke of the Washington Post. “I know he’s gonna be here this season, and that’s all I care about.”

Gruden believes Cousins will show “major growth” in 2017, given that this will be his third year in the same offensive system.

Whatever happens, happens with him and his agent and our organization,” Gruden added. “He has got two good years under his belt in our system, and I think it’s gonna be very good for him. You’re gonna see major growth from him again.”
