Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that Russell Wilson‘s new four-year extension with the Seahawks has no fully guaranteed money at signing beyond his bonus and first-year salary.
This amounts toย $31.7 million. However, the remainder ofย guaranteed money is guaranteed for injury only.
The contract will create more fully guaranteed money on the fifth day of league years 2016 – 2018:
- 2016: $12.342 million of his base salary becomes fully guaranteed.
- 2017: $12.6 million of his base salary becomes fully guaranteed.
- 2018: $4.9 million of Wilsonโs base salary of $15.5 million becomes fully-guaranteed.
