NFL Notes: Ryan Fitzpatrick, Bills, Broncos, & Dolphins

Ryan Fitzpatrick

  • Jason Cole of B/R, citing multiple sources, reports that the Jets are applying pressure to free agent QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to get a deal in place now and in advance of training camp.
  • However, Cole says that Fitzpatrick wants a higher ceiling and base pay in his next contract. Cole says that Fitzpatrick would be willing to accept incentives that would give him a shot at being paid as much as $16-$20 million per year.
  • According to Cole, Fitzpatrick is willing to wait until training camp in the hope of getting the Jets to improve their offer.

Bills

  • Jason Cole of B/R reports that the Bills are concerned about OT Seantrel Henderson following multiple surgeries related to Crohn’s Disease.
  • Cole says the team is also concerned about Henderson’s ability to maintain both weight and strength to play right tackle in the NFL.

Broncos

Dolphins

  • According to Barry Jackson, the Dolphins expect DE Cameron Wake (Achilles) to be back for the start of training camp. Wake has yet to take part in team drills.
