  • Jason Cole has spoken to sources close to the NFL who believe they will be able to eventually get Tom Brady to agreement a settlement at some point.
  • Brady reportedly wants a denial of involvement in DeflateGate included into any agreement.
  • According to Cole, the key for the NFL is going to be the start of training camp, as Brady will want to begin focusing on football at that point in time and put the DeflateGate matter to rest.

  • The Tampa Bay Lightning announced that CEO Tod Leiweke has resigned to become Chief Operating Officer of the National Football League.

Chiefs

  • Adam Teicher mentions that he expects the Chiefs S Eric Berry (lymphoma) on the non-football injury list to open the season.
