NFL Notes: Zurlon Tipton, Dolphins, & Packers

Zurlon Tipton

  • Former Colts RB Zurlon Tipton , was arrested early Friday for allegedly firing an assault rifle in Greenwood. (Indianapolis Star)
  • Tipton was reportedly arrested around 1 a.m. after police responded to reports of gunshot. (Indianapolis Star)
  • Witnesses told police the suspects fled the scene in a Jeep, which was tracked down a couple of blocks from the scene. (Indianapolis Star)

Dolphins

Dolphins CB Brent Grimes said that he hasn’t heard anything about a potential pay cut from the team, despite speculation that Miami could consider such a move during the offseason.

“I’ll wait until that happens,” Grimes said, via the Miami Herald. “I always live in the moment. I’m attacking this day and we’ll go from there.

Grimes did, however, say he and his family would prefer to remain in Miami.

“My family likes it here,” Grimes said. “It’s nice. My family is good. We have a good time.

Packers

  • Aaron Wilson reports that the Packers tried out long snapper Andrew East in recent days.
