On Tuesday, the NFL announced that they’ve informed all 32 teams that they’re projectingย the 2019 salary cap to between $187 million – $191.1 million.

This is up from the $177.2 million per team for the 2018ย season. Depending on whether the number ends up, it would be an increase of between 5.5 – 7.8 percent.
The salary cap has been on the rise for the past several seasons after remaining flat for the first few years of the currentย collective bargaining agreement.
NFL teams are required to spend 89 percent of their cap and cash spending has to be 95 percent of the salary cap limit over a period ofย four years orย the difference will go to the union, who would distributeย the money between the players.
