• Shelby said of his decision to join Atlanta: “I got the feeling of being wanted in Atlanta and it really sold me.” (Sirius XM NFL Radio)

Will Johnson

• Jeremy Fowler reports that Steelers free agent FB/TE Will Johnson spoke to the Jets, Bears, Chargers and Titans at the start of free agency.

Bears

• Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune mentions that the Bears would like to re-sign TE Zach Miller, who is reportedly targeting a $5 million per year salary in his next contract.
• However, they’d prefer to bring him back on a more team-friendly salary than that.
  Campbell writes that the new two-year, $12 million contract signed by Chiefs DT Jaye Howard could be a comparable deal for the Bears and DL Akiem Hicks.
• Brad Biggs is getting the sense that the Bears are still “very much in thick of things” with DL Akiem Hicks.
• According to Campbell, the Bears would still be open to re-signing LB Shea McClellin at a team-friendly price, even after they signed Danny Trevathan on Wednesday.

Buccaneers

Titans
