Packers Activate First-Round S Darnell Savage Jr From NFI List

The Green Bay Packers have activated first-round S Darnell Savage Jr. from the NFI list on Wednesday. 

Savage has been sidelined the past week or so after having his wisdom teeth removed. 

Savage was the No. 21 overall pick by the Packers out of Maryland. Green Bay elected to trade up with the Seahawks to acquire him and exchanged their No. 30, No. 114 and No. 118 picks for the right to draft him. 

According to OverTheCap.com, Savage receives a four-year, $12,517,692 rookie contract that includes $7,123,776 signing bonus. 

During his four-year college career at Maryland, Savage Jr recorded 182 tackles, one sack, eight interceptions, two defensive touchdowns, 13 pass defenses and a fumble recovery over the course of 40 games.
