Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Packers have claimed former Cowboys DE James Hearns off of waivers on Saturday.
Hearns, 24, wound up signing on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville back in May. He was placed on waivers Friday after the Cowboys made two additions to their active roster.
During his four-year college career at Louisville, Hearns recorded 101 tackles, 28 tackles for a loss, 17.5 sacks, nine forced fumbles, two recoveries and five pass defenses over the course of 33 games.
