Packers Expected To Target A QB In The Draft

Dan Pompei of the National Football Post writes that the Green Bay Packers are “want to add another quarterback” and believes that they’ll probably do so in the later-rounds of this year’s draft.

Pompei adds that Packers head coach Mike McCarthy “has high hopes for Graham Harrell” and thinks that he has “good grasp” of the teams’ offense.

Previous reports have suggested that the Packers are willing to move forward with Harrell as their backup, but it would really make sense for them to target another quarterback to develop. Green Bay seems to always be working with a group of young quarterbacks and they’ve made it a point to force their quarterbacks to get use to competing with one another so it seems logical that they would grab someone in the later-rounds.
