Packers Support Harrell Despite Lack of Results

Fox Sports Wisconsin reports that despite Packers backup Quarterback Graham Harrell‘s lack of progress and results worries the team; however, they still believe in him as a viable backup to Aaron Rodgers. If Rodgers cannot play all 16 games in the season, the Packers would need a competent QB under center, but it’s questionable if Harrell can be that guy.

“There’s some throws that he missed,” Coach Mike McCarthy said. “He’s growing. He’s getting a full dose of what it’s like to play, and more things went wrong, unfortunately, than normal, and we need to do a better job as an offense and he will do a better job leading us.”

Harrell has been taking most of the snaps in the preseason and figures to resume that trend against the Bears on Sunday.
