Packers TE Andrew Quarless Out 4-6 Weeks With MCL Sprain

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Packers TE Andrew Quarless will miss 4-to-6 weeks with a sprained MCL.

Quarless was forced from Monday night’s game after taking a hit to his knee. Reports from earlier in the day mentioned that Quarless was likely to miss some time, but they were hopeful he didn’t have any damage to his ACL.

Quarless, 26, still has one year remaining on his Signed a two-year, $3 million contract, which includes a base salary of $1.3 million to go along with a $200,000 roster bonus and a $75,000 workout bonus.

There had been talk that Quarless could be cut loose following an incident in which he fired a gun in Florida during the offseason, but Green Bay elected to stand by him.

In 2014, Quarless appeared in all 16 games for the Packers and caught 29 passes for 323 yards receiving and three touchdowns.

There’s a chance that Packers could add another tight end at some point this week.
