Field Yates reports that the Panthers have claimed RB Mike Davis off of waivers from the Bears on Monday.
Davis, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the 49ers back in 2015. He spent just over two years in San Francisco before he was waived and claimed off waivers by the Seahawks.
From there, Davis was on and off of the Seahawks’ roster before signing a two-year, $6 million contract with the Bears during the offseason. Chicago waived Davis last weekend in order to protect a compensatory pick in 2020.
In 2019, Davis has appeared in seven games and rushed for 25 yards on 11 carries (3.6 YPC) to go along with seven receptions for 22 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
