Panthers LB Luke Kuechly was carted off of the field during the fourth quarter of Thursday night’s game and is being evaluated for a concussion.
Kuechly was visiblyย broken up as he was being evaluated by doctors. It looked as though he was having a hard time breathing.
It’s worth mentioning thatย Kuechly has had a history of concussions dating back to his time in college.
Kuechly, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Panthers back in 2012. He’s currently in the second year of his six-year, $64.105 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $1 million this year and another $7.36 million in 2017.
Entering tonight’s game, Kuechly had appeared in nine games and recorded 88 tackles, two sacks, an interception, a forced fumble and five pass defenses.
