Panthers Placing WR Damiere Byrd On Injured Reserve

Panthers HC Ron Rivera announced Tuesday that they’re placing WR Damiere Byrd on injured reserve, per Jourdan Rodrigue.

Byrd, 24, wound up signing on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina back in 2015. Since then Byrd has been on and off of their active roster.

The Panthers placed him on injured reserve with a fractured forearm a few months ago. Carolina officially activated him from the list a few weeks ago.

In 2017, Byrd appeared in eight games for the Panthers and caught 10 passes for 105 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
