Dodds is considered one of the NFL’s most respected scouts and should be a candidate for multiple jobs in the coming weeks.

The Panthers are casting a wide net in their search for their next general manager. Carolina has requested permission to interview Patriots executive Nick Caserio and are also looking to interview Bills assistant GM Joe Schoen and Browns VP of Football Operations Kwesi Adofo-Mensah.

Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo add that in addition to setting up an interview with former Giants GM Jerry Reese, the Panthers also plan to look at Saints assistant GM Jeff Ireland, 49ers VP of player personnel Adam Peters, Bills assistant GM Joe Schoen and Seahawks VP of football ops Scott Fitterer

Dodds worked for the Seattle Seahawks for 10 seasons and worked his way up to senior personnel executive. The Colts hired Dodds in 2017 and later promoted him to assistant general manager for the 2018 season.

We’ll have more on the Panthers GM search as the news is available.
