The Carolina Panthers announced Tuesday that they’ve signed S J.T. Ibe and CB Jalen Julius to contracts.
Julius, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Mississippi back in May of last year. He later signed a rookie contract with the Chiefs, but was waived a few months later.

During his college career at Ole Miss, Julius recorded 138 tackles, 1.5 sacks, no interceptions, two forced fumbles and 13 passes defended over the course of four seasons and 38 games.
Ibe, 24, wound up going undrafted out of South Carolina in 2020. This will be his first opportunity with an NFL team.
Ibe began his career at Rice before transferring to South Carolina in 2018.
For his career, Ibe appeared in 42 games and recorded 191 tackles, two forced fumbles, two recoveries, no interceptions and 11 passes defended over the course of five seasons.
