According to Adam Schefter, the Carolina Panthers are signing WR Rashad Ross of the AAF’s Arizona Hotshots to a contract on Thursday.
Ross was one of the standout players in the league, so it shouldn’t come as a big surprise to see him parlay his success into another NFL contract.
Ross, 29, originally signed on with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona State back in 2013. He had brief stints with the Chiefs, Redskins, Bears, Redskins, 49ers and Bills before signing on with the Cardinals in 2017.
Arizona brought Ross back on a on a futures contract last year only to cut him loose during the preseason.
In 2016, Ross appeared in five games and caught one pass for eight yards receiving and no touchdowns. He has also contributed 22 kick return yards for Washington this season.
