Panthers Waive S Travell Dixon From I.R. With Injury Settlement

The Carolina Panthers announced Thursday that they’ve waived S Travell Dixon from injured reserve with an injury settlement.

Dixon, 26, originally signed on with the Raiders back in 2015 as an undrafted free agent out of Washington. He lasted just a few weeks in Oakland before he was waived and sat out the entire 2015 season.

The Panthers signed him to a future/reserve contract last January and added him to their practice squad at the start of the regular season. Unfortunately, Carolina waived him with an injury designation last week and he later reverted to the injured reserve list.

In 2016, Dixon appeared in one game for the Panthers and recorded a tackle.
