Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Patriots have claimed LB Jack Cichy of waivers from the Buccaneers on Thursday.
Cichy is an interesting player who has performed well on special teams for the Buccaneers. However, he’s deal with a number of injuries dating back to his final year at Wisconsin.
Cichy, 24, is a former sixth-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2018. He was in the third year of his four-year, $2,605,376 deal that included a $145,376 signing bonus.
Cichy will make a base salary of $750,000 for the 2020 season.
In 2020, Cichy has appeared in five games for the Buccaneers but has not recorded a statistic.
