The New England Patriots have claimed TE Jordan Thomas off of waivers from the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday and placed TE Dalton Keene on injured reserve, per Mike Reiss.
Other roster moves:
- Patriots waived LB Cassh Maluia.
- Patriots signed TE David Wells and TE Dylan Cantrell to their practice squad.
- Patriots released DT Ryan Glasgow from their practice squad.
It’s worth mentioning that the NFL changed the rules regarding injured reserve for the 2020 season and players can return from the list in just three weeks.
Thomas, 24, is a former sixth-round pick of the Texans back in 2018. He was entering the third year of his four-year, $2.6 million rookie contract when Houston released him coming out of training camp.
Arizona signed Thomas to their practice squad after he was cut from the Texans. The Cardinals activated him from the practice squad but decided to waive him soon after.
In 2020, Thomas has appeared in four games for the Cardinals and caught one pass for three yards and one touchdown.
