ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported that the New England Patriots have re-signed LB Jerod Mayo to a five-year contract extension.
Mayo has fast become the best player of the Patriots defense but this years been a struggle to say the least. New England was smart to lockup their best defensive player which will allow them to put pieces around him next season.
Mayo was under contract until 2013 before today’s extension.
