Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Patriots are placing CB Alfonzo Dennard on season-ending injured reserve and signing WR Josh Boyce off of their practice squad.
Dennard, 25, has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury, so it’s not all that surprising to see them shut him down for the season.
He still has one year remaining on his four-year, $2.157 million rookie contract that includes a base salary of $660,000 for the 2015 season.
Dennard’s 2014 season comes to an end with him recording 15 tackles, one interception and a pass defense over the course of six games.
